MG Shuffle is a duo from Thessaloniki, Greece, known for their energetic live shows and a full sound that consistently surprises audiences. "They sound like more than just two people!"
Maria Mariadou sings lead and plays flute and percussion. Her voice channels the soul of the 1960s with warmth and expressive depth, while her flute adds a distinct melodic texture. On guitar, George Keratsopoulos lays down the rhythmic foundation with dynamic strumming, fingerpicking and bluesy slide work, keeping the groove steady with a stompbox and adding vocal harmonies and lead vocals.
They play blues, rock 'n' roll and country, and they play it their own way. Over the years the duo has developed a distinct approach to the songs they love, rearranging them for two players with their own phrasing, their own groove and a clear personal touch. Alongside them stand their original songs, first heard on their debut album "Straight Ahead", an electric-leaning record rooted in blues-rock traditions.
A few years ago MG Shuffle began sharing that sound online, and it changed everything. Weekly videos from their YouTube channel found listeners far beyond Greece. More than 11 million views and over 110,000 followers on Facebook. That response sent the duo back to the essentials, reshaping their sound around what two musicians can build on a stage together.
In the summer of 2026 the audience they had met online came to meet them in person. Their European tour took them to Germany, Sweden, France, Croatia, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and people travelled from far beyond their own cities to catch a show. Many of them arrived knowing the videos by heart, and left saying the same thing. "Even better live." Most of those venues have already invited the duo back, and in 2027 they return with dates in France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
Their second album follows in November 2026, in the signature acoustic but not unplugged style they have refined on stage: intimate, raw and rhythmically alive. For MG Shuffle the road ahead is clear. To keep bringing their own take on blues and rock 'n' roll, and their own songs, to stages across Europe and beyond.
